Three golds for army, one gold for Gandaki in ITF

Two hundred and fifty players from seven provinces and three departmental teams are participating in the competition.

POKHARA: Army won three gold medals in ITF Taekwondo competition.

The departmental team Nepal Army has won three gold medals in the 9th national sports competition, and Gandaki State has won one gold medal in the single pattern competition, which has been held in Baglung since Saturday.

Dhan Singh Pariyar of the Army won the gold medal for blue belt, Bhim Bahadur Tamang of the Army won the first dan for black belt, and Sustima Shrestha of the Army won the gold medal for women’s blue belt. Bhim Bahadur Gaha of Gandaki State won the gold medal for the red belt, while Sandesh Sunar of Lumbini State won the silver medal.

Anjan Dhamala, ITF chairperson and member of the National Sports Council, announced that Saphal Pariyar of Lumbini won silver in the blue belt, Praveen Budha of Gandaki State won silver in the black belt, and Monika Kunwar of Gandaki State won silver in women’s blue belt. ITF single spiring, team spiring, single pattern and team pattern matches are still being played.

Two hundred and fifty players from seven provinces and three departmental teams are participating in the competition.

In ITF Taekwondo, 29 gold, 29 silver, and 58 bronze medals will be awarded.
