Army’s Deepak set a new record for in 10 km race

POKHARA: Deepak Adhikari of Tribhuvan Army Club set a new national record in the men’s 10 km race during the 9th National Games.

He won the gold medal as well as the record. He broke the 8-year-old record by covering the distance in 30 minutes and 10.30 seconds at Pokhara Stadium on Sunday.

Previously, at the Inchon Asiad in China in 2014, APF’s Gopichandar Parki set a record by covering this distance in 30 minutes and 10.99 seconds.
