KATHMANDU: The nomination paper registration process for the election system of candidates who will be elected first for the House of Representatives and State Assembly member elections on Nov 20 has begun.

Shaligram Sharma Paudel, the spokesperson for the Election Commission, stated that candidates have begun to register their nomination papers by going to the offices of the Election Officers established in various locations throughout the country for the purpose of electing members of the House of Representatives and members of the State Assembly.

On the direct side, the registration process for 165 members of the House of Representatives and 330 members of the State Assembly has begun.

Candidate registration has begun at 10 a.m. and will continue until 5 p.m.

According to the commission, nomination papers can be filed by the candidate or by a representative.
