For the Dashain celebration, roughly 1.7 million people have departed the Kathmandu Valley since mid-Sept.

Due to COVID-19, fewer people traveled outside of the Kathmandu Valley in the previous two years to celebrate Dashain.

The majority of individuals who travel to districts outside of the Valley use public transportation, according to Bijay Swar, president of the National Transport Entrepreneurs Association of Nepal.

Around 1.7 lakh individuals have already departed the Valley, and it is anticipated that another two lakh individuals will do so by the day of Bijaya Dashami (Wednesday).

Similar to prior years, this year as well, passengers are having issues like being charged more than the stated fare.
