KATHMANDU: Various police departments across India are planning to provide climate-controlled helmets for their traffic officers to cope with the heat during the summer months.
These helmets are designed to keep officers cool in temperatures exceeding 40 degrees Celsius and shield their eyes from the sun’s glare, according to officials.
Equipped with a battery fitted into the helmet’s lining, the helmet functions as a cooling device.
It features four charging points and can run for up to eight hours on a single charge.
