KATHMANDU: The ruling coalition is holding a meeting to discuss seat allocation.

Due to the President’s decision, the issue of seat allocation was not discussed at the earlier scheduled meeting on Wednesday.

After 2 p.m., the top leaders, along with members of the working group, will attend a meeting at Baluwatar, the Minister of Finance’s official residence.

The seat allocation will be finalized today, according to Keshav Joshi, member secretary of the working group formed to seek consensus on seat distribution.

The leaders were preoccupied with postponing the alliance meeting to decide on the proportional list. The leaders of the alliance will return to the discussion after submitting the proportional list to the Election Commission.

Despite numerous meetings, the direct candidate has not been elected. Seat allocation is said to be possible today.
