Constitution Day: Who were honored? (with list)

KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has announced that 998 people will be honored and awarded medals on Constitution Day.

The late former Prime Minister Sushil Koirala will be honored with the Nepal Ratna, it has been announced. When the constitution was ratified, he was Prime Minister.

The late politician Jivraj Neupane, former Council of Ministers Chairperson Khilraj Regmi, and culturalist Satya Mohan Joshi will be honored with national pride.

Vibhushan (honoring) was announced by the President on Sept 16, according to a decision of the Council of Ministers.

The Ministry of Home Affairs has released the list of medal recipients.
