‘Excellence in POS Acquiring Business 2022’ award to Himalayan Bank
The award was presented to the bank by the Chief Guest, Dr. Neelam Dhungana, Deputy Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank, during a VISA-organized ceremony.
KATHMANDU: Himalayan Bank Limited (HBL), the only bank in Nepal with the widespread acceptance of world-famous card brands such as American Express, JCB, Mastercard, UnionPay, and Visa, has won the “Excellence in POS Acquiring Business 2022” award.
The award was presented to the bank by the Chief Guest, Dr. Neelam Dhungana, Deputy Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank, during a VISA-organized ceremony. In the past, the Bank has also won the same title on a consistent basis.
At the moment, HBL is the only bank in Nepal that accepts a wide range of popular international card brands. This has made it easier for national and international customers to make payments through the Bank’s ATMs, POS terminals, and E-Commerce gateways.
The bank expressed gratitude to its Merchants, well-wishers, and customers for assisting the bank in growing through the card acquiring a business and announced that another international popular brand, Diners/Discover, will be added to its card acceptance list soon.
Currently, the bank serves customers across the country through 153 ATMs, over 5,500 POS, and nearly 700 E-Commerce Merchants.
