Demonstration in Bangladesh demanding resignation of agriculture minister

KATHMANDU: A protest has been held calling for Agriculture and Livestock Development Minister Mrigendra Kumar Singh’s resignation in Bangladesh.

A group of Nepali veterinary students studying in Bangladesh has demanded Agriculture Minister Singh resign in protest of the House of Representatives’ passage of the ‘Bill to Regulate Animal Health and Animal Services Council.’

According to them, the passed bill grants the same status to rural animal service workers and veterinarians who have completed 35 days of training.
