KATHMANDU: A COVID-19 patient receiving treatment at Seti State Hospital’s temporary COVID-19 Hospital has died.

According to State Hospital Information Officer Dilip Kumar Shrestha, a 50-year-old man from Kanchanpur’s Bhimdutta Municipality-6 who was being treated in ICU died of a COVID-19 infection.

According to information officer Shrestha, the person who was admitted to the hospital on Thursday had alcoholic hepatitis but was also found to be infected with COVID-19 during the investigation.

Shrestha stated that it was found that he had not been vaccinated against COVID-19.

After a new variant of COVID-19 was detected in Nepal, the first infected death occurred in the Far Western State, but it is not clear whether the infection was new or old in the man.
