In Pics: Muslim community praying in a Kashmiri mosque

KATHMANDU: Bakr Eid (Eid al-Adha), Islam’s second great festival, is being celebrated in mosques across the country today. Eid al-Fitr, the 70th day of Ramadan, is marked by a religious ceremony.

Muslims bathe this morning before heading to the mosque or Id Gah to offer collective prayers. Good wishes are exchanged following the prayers.

Crowds of Muslims have flocked to mosques and Id Gahs across the country on this occasion, including the Nepali Jame Mosque and Kashmiri Mosque on Durbar Marg.
