Four injured, two seriously injured in Achham attack

ACHHAM: APRIL. 28 – A group of people attacked and injured four people in Dhakari Rural Municipality Ward No. 1 of Achham last night.

According to the District Police Office in Achham, a group of 9-10 people, including Tapendra Budha, attacked a woman and four others at a wedding in the village on Wednesday night around 11:30 p.m. The injured have been identified as Chiute residents Man Bahadur Budha, 39, Hikmat Budha, 21, Tulasi Budha, 30, and Khagendra Budha, 21.

Man Bahadur and Hikmat were rushed to Achham District Hospital overnight, according to DSP Thapaliya. According to hospital sources, they are currently out of danger. Man Bahadur was injured in the head and back, while Hikmat was injured in the head and hand. Similarly, Tulsi suffered minor injuries to her head and Khagendra suffered minor injuries to his arms and legs.

A five-person police team led by Deputy Inspector Lal Singh Bista was dispatched to the scene, which was about three kilometers away from the Dhakari Police Post. Police have arrested nine people on charge of involvement in the incident.
