APF won the PM Cup Cricket title

KATHMANDU: JAN. 19 – The Prime Minister’s Cup T-20 men’s cricket tournament was won by the Armed Police Force (APF) Club. APF beat Nepal Police Club by 21 runs in the final, which was held in Kirtipur.

Chasing a 158-run target, Police Club lost 7 wickets in 20 overs and scored only 136 runs. Dipendra Singh Airee of the Police Club scored 65 runs, while Dipendra Nath scored 23 runs.

The competition winner, APF, will receive Rs 500,000, while the runner-up, Police Club, will receive Rs 300,000. With one ball remaining, APF, who batted first after losing the toss, was all out for 157 runs.

Despite the fact that the APF’s opening batters did not perform well, the middle order was formed by sticking to the last batter crease.

In the semi-final, Lokesh Bam scored 27 runs off 15 balls. Similarly, Sandeep Jora scored 24 runs, while captain Sharad Vesawkar scored 19 runs. Amar Singh Rautela, who came to bat at number nine, shared 42 runs for the eighth wicket with Bhuwan Karki. Rautela scored 29 off 15 balls while Karki was out for 17.

Dipendra Singh Airee and Sagar Dhakal each took three wickets, with Gulshan Jha taking two.
