KATHMANDU: SEPT. 7 – The government has sent a diplomatic note to India about the Darchula Tuin incident and the helicopter flying over Nepali skies. According to foreign ministry sources, separate diplomatic notes have been sent to neighbouring India.

Earlier, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs had said that it had not received any official information about the Darchula incident. The government had said it was in talks with India.

Jaisingh Dhami of Darchula had gone missing in the Mahakali River on July 30 while crossing the river. The report of the government investigation committee also mentions the involvement of the Indian Armed Security Forces (SSB) in the incident.

In the report, the committee had suggested the government resolve the issue through diplomatic channels. However, India has denied any involvement in the incident.

The government has also sent a diplomatic note to the Indian government regarding the recent unauthorized flying of helicopters by India around the Nepal Army barracks.
