KATHMANDU: AUGUST 16 – According to Hindu mythology, Shrawan (July/August) is the month associated with Lord Shiva. There is a religious belief that if you worship Lord Shiva in this month, you will get equal blessings if you worship all the deities.

This month is especially important for Hindus as it is important from a religious, natural and cultural point of view. Especially on the Monday of Shrawan (July/August), it is customary to fast and worship Lord Shiva. According to the religious statement that Parvati received Lord Shiva by fasting in the month of Shrawan (July/August), especially Hindu women have given more importance to it.

This is especially important as there are 5 Mondays in Shrawan (July/August) this year.
