Nepal side making strategy, meeting started

KATHMANDU: AUGUST 5 – UML senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal is holding a standing committee meeting. Leader Astalaxmi Shakya said that a meeting of the central committee will be held after that. The meeting is being held at Kwality Banquet in Buddhanagar. The meeting will discuss the recent political situation and future strategy. Leader Shakya said, “There will be a discussion on the current national politics and how to run the party now.”

Looking at the situation so far, the efforts being made for party unity have not been encouraging, said a leader of the Nepali side. Chairman KP Sharma Oli’s party has issued a statement on Wednesday evening appealing to the central members not to participate in the central committee meeting convened by the Nepali side. The Oli faction also said the meeting was illegal.
