Elderly father dies from son’s beating
ILAM: JULY 26 – In Ilam, his own son has beaten his father to death. Tek Bahadur Mukhiya, 85, of Punmaphung in Deumai Municipality-2 of Ilam has died after being beaten by his own son, according to police.
His son Girjaman Mukhiya, 34, had beaten and injured his father Tek Bahadur on July 22 due to a domestic dispute.
He succumbed to his injuries last night after returning home by failing to get treatment at Birta City Hospital, Birtamode, police said.
According to Mahendra Shrestha, Superintendent of Police, District Police Office, Ilam, the District Police Office, Ilam has arrested Girjaman for beating his father.
“A few days ago, Girjaman, who had beaten his father on the issue of the property after consuming alcohol, was taken under control and a case was filed against him for indecent behaviour,” said Superintendent of Police Shrestha.
