KATHMANDU: JULY 22 – CPN-UML central committee meeting is being held. The Central Committee meeting, which started on Monday at the Tulsilal Foundation building in Chyasal, will continue today.

Earlier, Wednesday’s meeting had passed four special resolutions. The meeting concluded that the ruling of the Supreme Court was an attack on the party’s independence and party system and ruled that the government was formed out of lawlessness. Concluding that the decision of the Supreme Court was against the constitution and the wishes of the people, the meeting also passed a resolution to go among the people.

The meeting concluded that the government led by KP Sharma Oli had done a historic job even during the siege and urged all activists and well-wishers not to be disappointed with the recent political situation. Similarly, the meeting had concluded that they would come back to the old place.

Meanwhile, the CPN-UML meeting has sent a letter to 22 lawmakers, including senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal, giving a vote of confidence to Sher Bahadur Deuba within 24 hours. The letter asks why Deuba was forced to give a vote of confidence.
