Landslides obstructs Mid-Hill Highway

KATHMANDU: JULY 17 – The landslides obstruct Mid-Hill Highway’s Baglung road section has been blocked due to continuous rains. The landslide and mudslide in Sahasradhara of Kushma Municipality-1 Pang has been blocked since last night. As the rain has not stopped, it is still raining.

Krishna Khadka, head of Parbat’s Traffic Police Bureau, said that the JCB and security forces are preparing the road, although there was a problem immediately opening the road as the rain did not stop.

According to the police, long and short-distance vehicles from Baglung, Myagdi, and Mustang have been stranded in Maldhunga while vehicles from other places have been stranded in Armadi. Police said that efforts will be made to open it as soon as the rain stops.
