Another earthquake in Lamjung, destroyed houses [Photos]

LAMJUNG: WEDNESDAY, MAY 19, 2021 – There have been two earthquakes in Lamjung at three-hour intervals. A 5.8 magnitude earthquake shook Lamjung district at 5:22 AM and a 5.3 magnitude earthquake at 8:26 AM.

The quake affected Lamjung, Gorkha, Tanahun, Kaski, Manang, Chitwan, Dhading and Kathmandu valleys. Four people have been injured in the quake. The injured have been identified as Uma Gurung, 36, of Besishahar Municipality-6, Khakakumari Pandey, 83, of Chiti, Ward No. 11, Khushimaya Gurung, 29, of Ward No. 8 and Govindra Adhikari, 22, of Marsyangdi Village Municipality-6, Thulibesi, according to the District Police Office, Lamjung.

The injured are undergoing treatment at the District Hospital, Lamjung. According to Jagdish Mishra, Inspector at the District Police Office, Lamjung, they sustained injuries on their head, arms and legs. According to him, the earthquake has damaged many houses. He also said that the details of the damage are being collected now.
