14 infected die in Lumbini State

KATHMANDU: FRIDAY, MAY 14, 2021 – Fourteen people have died of Covid infection in Dang and Banke districts of Lumbini state. Among the dead are six from Dang and eight from Banke.

Tej Oli, a source at the District Covid Crisis Management Center, said that five died at the Bheri Hospital in Nepalgunj, two at the Teaching Hospital Kohalpur and one at home isolation.

According to him, a 67-year-old woman from Salyan Kumakh Rural Municipality-1, a 59-year-old man from Bardiya Madhuwan Municipality-6, a 35-year-old woman from Baijnath Rural Municipality-6 Banke, a 75-year-old woman from Khajura Rural Municipality-3 Banke and a Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolis-5 are undergoing treatment at Bheri Hospital Nepalgunj. The deceased has been identified as a 61-year-old woman.

Similarly, a 28-year-old man from Kohalpur Municipality-2 and a 40-year-old man from Kailali Lamki Chuha Municipality died at the Teaching Hospital Kohalpur while a 64-year-old woman from Khajura Rural Municipality-1 Banke died in home isolation, said Oli, a source at the District Covid Crisis Management Center. At the same time, the number of deaths from corona in Banke has reached 222. A total of 167 people have died while coming here for treatment from outlying districts. – RSS
