Man electrocuted while charging mobile phone

KATHMANDU: An incident in the New Basti area of Manahari Municipality-6, Makwanpur, when a 31-year-old man, Indralal Muktan, died after receiving an electric shock while charging his mobile phone.
The incident took place last night, and Muktan was immediately rushed to the Old Medical College in Bharatpur, Chitwan for treatment.
Despite efforts to save him, Muktan succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
According to Shyam Aryal, the spokesperson for the District Police Office and Deputy Superintendent of Police, the incident highlights the risks associated with improper handling of electrical devices.
Authorities are urging the public to exercise caution while using electrical appliances, particularly when charging mobile phones, to avoid such unfortunate accidents.
