Isolation of 15 beds in Shivanagar
BHARATPUR: FRIDAY, MAY 14, 2021 – As Corona infection is increasing in the district, Bharatpur Municipal Corporation has constructed a 15-bed isolation in Ward No. 14 Shivanagar and brought it into operation. Bharatpur Metropolitan Chief Renu Dahal inaugurated the isolation with oxygen on Thursday. Speaking on the occasion, Chief Dahal said that she had succeeded in preparing isolation with essential equipment in a short time. The Bharatpur Municipal Corporation has prepared isolation for the prevention of the second outbreak of Covid-19 and treatment of the infected.
Chief Dahal has said that isolation will be added as per the need. She said that the treatment of Corona patients is being facilitated in coordination with Bharatpur Hospital, Cancer Hospital as well as medical colleges and other private hospitals. She informed that the municipality is conducting awareness activities, adhering to health standards, identifying the patients and monitoring their health condition to avoid the second wave of COVID-19.
According to her, four ambulances are providing free service in three places of the metropolis to take the patients of Covid-19 to the hospital. The corporation is preparing to build a 15-bed isolation in Shardanagar Health Center after the construction of isolation in Shivanagar Health Center. The metropolis has already decided to set up isolation centers in Shivanagar and Shardanagar.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Chief of Bharatpur Municipal Corporation Parvati Shah Thakuri said that isolation was conducted to protect the people of the metropolis from the Covid epidemic. Chief Administrative Officer Bhoj Raj Khatiwada, Chairman of Ward No. 14 Om Prakash Pokharel and others spoke on the occasion.
X-ray, laboratory, ECG pharmacy and other services will be provided free of cost to the infected people of Covid. The hospital will be staffed by two medical officers, nurses and skilled technicians. In this health center, all the services previously provided by Health Center will remain the same. – RSS
