Tiger, rhino found dead in CNP

A tiger and a rhinoceros have been found dead within the premises of the national park, in the Bhimpur area of the park and in Nawalparasi (Bardaghat-Susta Purba).

KATHMANDU: A tiger and a rhino were found dead in Chitwan National Park today.

A tiger and a rhinoceros have been found dead within the premises of the national park, in the Bhimpur area of the park and in Nawalparasi (Bardaghat-Susta Purba).

According to Ganesh Prasad Tiwari, Information Officer of the CNP, a security team from the Nepali Army’s Security Post in Amritpuri discovered the dead tiger.

Currently, both the army and park officials are at the scene, located near Sauraha.

The cause of the tiger’s death has not yet been determined.

Similarly, in the community forest area of Gudraida, Ward No. 15 of Kawasoti Municipality in Nawalparasi, a dead rhino has been found.

According to Tiwari, the rhino died due to natural causes.

Rhino horn and hooves are safe.
