Zero tolerance on Foreign Employment fraud: Govt, Minister Yadav
Minister Yadav also revealed that more than 40,000 complaints related to foreign employment fraud have been categorized and will be resolved within a fixed timeframe.
KATHMANDU: Labour, Employment and Youth Minister Ramji Yadav has said that the government has adopted a policy of zero tolerance against fraud, exploitation, and irregularities in the name of foreign employment.
Responding to questions raised during the special, zero, and emergency hours of Wednesday’s House of Representatives meeting, Minister Yadav said the government is fully committed to protecting the rights and dignity of Nepali workers abroad.
He emphasized that the government remains highly sensitive to the situation of Nepali workers undergoing treatment in foreign hospitals and those awaiting rescue, assuring that necessary support and repatriation efforts are being carried out with urgency.
According to him, continuous coordination is being maintained through domestic mechanisms and Nepali embassies abroad to ensure the safety and assistance of migrant workers.
Minister Yadav also revealed that more than 40,000 complaints related to foreign employment fraud have been categorized and will be resolved within a fixed timeframe.
He further informed that the government is preparing to digitize and operate all foreign employment-related services through an online system starting from the upcoming month of Shrawan.
Reaffirming the government’s commitment, he said the state is dedicated to ensuring the safety, protection, and overall welfare of Nepali citizens living and working across the globe.
