Unified Socialist seeks clarification from leader Ramkumari Jhakri
Party Secretary Som Prasad Pandey confirmed that Jhakri has been asked to submit a written explanation within three days.
KATHMANDU: The CPN (Unified Socialist) has sought a clarification from party leader Ramkumari Jhakri over her recent public remarks demanding leadership restructuring.
Party Secretary Som Prasad Pandey confirmed that Jhakri has been asked to submit a written explanation within three days. “She has been asked to clarify her recent statements,” he said.
Jhakri had publicly called for a leadership overhaul during an event last Saturday, citing Chair Madhav Kumar Nepal’s alleged link to the controversial Patanjali land deal. She argued that the party must move forward with a proposal to restructure the leadership.
In her remarks, Jhakri stated that “the party cannot move ahead while carrying a burden,” indirectly referring to the chairman, and insisted on the need for a change in leadership. The party has deemed her comments as a violation of internal discipline.
The party’s Disciplinary Commission has officially directed Jhakri to respond to the clarification notice within three days.
