UML to release election manifesto in early Falgun, says General Secretary Pokharel
Speaking at an event organized by Press Chautari Nepal in Kathmandu, Pokharel explained that the delay in releasing the manifesto was due to the Election Commission’s schedule.
KATHMANDU: The CPN (UML) has announced that its election manifesto will be unveiled in the first week of Falgun, party General Secretary Shankar Pokharel said on Friday.
Speaking at an event organized by Press Chautari Nepal in Kathmandu, Pokharel explained that the delay in releasing the manifesto was due to the Election Commission’s schedule.
The Election Commission has set the election timetable in a way that triggers the election code of conduct, which required political parties to postpone the public release of their manifestos,” he said.
Pokharel added that once the Election Commission’s schedule allows, UML will immediately release its manifesto, and party candidates will actively present it to the public.
He also noted that experts had already been consulted during the preparation of the manifesto.
