UML secretariat meeting begins

KATHMANDU: The central Secretariat meeting of the CPN-UML has begun at party chair KP Sharma Oli’s residence in Gundu, Bhaktapur.
The meeting has primarily focused on the division of responsibilities among party leaders, which remains a key unresolved organizational issue following the party’s 11th national general convention.

According to party sources, the agenda also includes discussions on leadership ranking and a review of recent electoral performance.
However, no formal agenda was circulated to Secretariat members prior to the meeting.

Despite the lack of an official outline, leaders are expected to concentrate mainly on structuring the party’s internal responsibilities and completing long-pending organizational assignments.
The UML has yet to finalize several key bodies, including the Standing Committee, Politburo, and various departments, which remain incomplete since the convention held last Poush.

Today’s meeting is expected to take important decisions in this regard.
