UML secretariat meeting underway at Gundu

KATHMANDU: The Secretariat meeting of ruling CPN-UML is currently underway at party Chair KP Sharma Oli’s private residence in Gundu, Bhaktapur, where senior leaders are working to finalize long-pending internal responsibilities.

According to party Central Office Secretary Dr. Bhishma Adhikari, the meeting is focused on concluding the distribution of duties among top leaders and central committee members, a process that has remained incomplete since the party’s 11th general convention held in Mangsir.

A proposal for the allocation of responsibilities was presented during a meeting held four days earlier, and party leaders are now expected to give it a final shape in today’s session.

While some dissatisfaction has reportedly emerged within the party ranks over the proposed division of roles, sources say Chair Oli is determined to push the decision through and settle the matter without further delay.
