Two killed in Tulsipur tipper–motorcycle collision
The deceased have been identified as 35-year-old Manoj Nepali of Lamahi Municipality–5 and his 5-year-old son, Mirans Nepali.
TULSIPUR, Dang: Two people, a father and his young son, died after a tipper truck hit their motorcycle in Tulsipur on Monday morning.
According to District Police Office spokesperson DSP Resham Bohara, the accident occurred at Gulm Chowk when tipper number Ra 1 Kha 2192 collided with motorcycle number Ra 4 Pa 3390.
The deceased have been identified as 35-year-old Manoj Nepali of Lamahi Municipality–5 and his 5-year-old son, Mirans Nepali.
Both were critically injured and initially taken to Rapti Provincial Hospital in Tulsipur for first aid before being referred to Nepalgunj for advanced treatment.
The child died on the way to Nepalgunj, while the father succumbed to his injuries during treatment in Nepalgunj.
Manoj’s wife, 34-year-old Anusha, who was also injured in the crash, has been discharged after treatment.
Police have taken the tipper driver, Sher Bahadur Thapa, into custody and launched an investigation into the incident.
