Two found dead in separate incidents in Dhankuta

KATHMANDU: Two individuals were found dead at separate locations in Dhankuta district.

According to the Dhankuta District Police Office, 44-year-old Purnima Magar of Gairigaun, Phurkedanda, Sahidbhumi Rural Municipality-7, was found dead Tuesday night after falling from a trail.

Police said she fell approximately 15 meters down to the main road.

Similarly, on Wednesday morning, 43-year-old Tanka Bahadur Rai was found dead on the roadside in Mahalaxmi Municipality-1.

Locals alerted the police upon discovering the body.

Police have sent both bodies to the Dhankuta District Hospital for post-mortem examination.

Authorities stated that further investigation is ongoing, and the cause of death will be confirmed after the post-mortem.
