KATHMANDU: Trishuli and Bhotekoshi rivers are rapidly gaining popularity as prime rafting destinations in Nepal.

With rising summer temperatures, many Kathmandu Valley residents are flocking to these rivers to escape the heat and enjoy the adrenaline rush of white-water rafting.

Rafters can be seen leaping with the waves, fully immersed in the excitement.

Deepak Kumar Rai, operator of Rafting Star Resort, shared that every week, around 1,200 to 1,500 people arrive from the Valley for rafting adventures.

Rai noted a significant rise in domestic tourism, with Nepali visitors outnumbering foreigners.

He attributes this growing interest to the influence of social media, which has played a key role in promoting rafting among local adventure seekers.
