Thapa-led central meeting to reject Sanepa’s punishments: NC’s Sharma
Sharma said the convention would also take a decision to annul the disciplinary actions taken by the Sanepa faction.
KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Bishwprakash Sharma, a pro-special convention faction leader, has announced that a central committee meeting under Gagan Thapa’s leadership will be held within a week.
Speaking at the special convention hall in Bhrikutimandap, Sharma said the convention would also take a decision to annul the disciplinary actions taken by the Sanepa faction.
He claimed that party workers from across the country have rejected the Sanepa-imposed penalties.
Sharma said that representatives present in the hall voted to reject the Sanepa disciplinary measures.
He expressed confidence that the Election Commission would recognize the decisions made by the special convention in accordance with party bylaws, laws, and regulations.
He also assured that the upcoming meeting would not punish anyone involved in the current disciplinary decisions, emphasizing party unity. “Rest assured, no one will face punishment,” Sharma said.
