KATHMANDU: An all-party meeting convened by Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane is currently underway at the Public Accounts Committee hall in Singha Durbar, focusing on ending the ongoing parliamentary deadlock.

According to RSP General Secretary Kabindra Burlakoti, the discussion is centered on finding a political solution to the continued obstruction in Parliament. The meeting is still ongoing, he said.

During the talks, Lamichhane also briefed leaders on his recent visit to India. Leaders from various political parties have welcomed the initiative, describing it as a positive step toward initiating dialogue to resolve the crisis.

The House of Representatives meeting, scheduled for 11 AM today, has not yet begun due to ongoing disruptions. The opposition has been obstructing parliamentary proceedings, protesting remarks made by Kathmandu Mayor Balen Shah.

Despite ongoing all-party discussions, opposition parties have maintained their stance of continuing the obstruction, prompting efforts by Lamichhane and other leaders to seek a negotiated way forward.
