KATHMANDU: The upcoming Nepali film Taraharu, presented by Web Pvt. Ltd., has been granted a ‘U’ (Universal) certificate by the Central Film Censorship Board, making it suitable for audiences of all age groups—from children to the elderly.

Scheduled to release nationwide on Aug 22, the film has a runtime of 2 hours and 29 minutes.

Directed by acclaimed actor Ashant Sharma, Taraharu stars Ashant Sharma and Menuka Pradhan in lead roles, alongside Kundan Shakya, Meera Khadka, Prabhakar Neupane, Abhash Adhikari, Raj Pangeni Sharma, Pramod Babu, and Bikash Khanal.

Produced by Gopini Sedhai and Krishna Prasad Pangeni, the film showcases poster design by Rasik Raj.

According to the makers, Taraharu is a dark comedy rooted in the reality of middle-class family life, presented in an entertaining yet thought-provoking manner.

The story revolves around a husband and wife and also touches on the lives of teenagers, aiming to resonate with all age groups and social backgrounds.
