Suman Sharma appointed CEO of Prabhu Bank
Prior to joining Prabhu Bank, Sharma served as the CEO of Sunrise Bank.
KATHMANDU: Prabhu Bank has appointed seasoned banker Suman Sharma as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
The decision was made by a meeting of the bank’s Board of Directors held on Tuesday.
Sharma brings over 25 years of experience in Nepal’s banking sector and is widely regarded as an experienced and capable banking professional.
Prior to joining Prabhu Bank, Sharma served as the CEO of Sunrise Bank.
He had earlier held the same position at Machhapuchchhre Bank.
His professional career also includes senior roles at Global IME Bank, Machhapuchchhre Bank, NMB Bank, among others.
Sharma holds Master’s degrees in Economics and Physics from Tribhuvan University.
He began his banking career in 1997 at Nepal SBI Bank, where he worked for seven years before earning an MBA from Maastricht School of Management, the Netherlands, in 2005.
He is also a gold medalist in Economics and MBA in Finance, reflecting his strong academic background alongside extensive industry experience.
