Batting first after losing the toss, Sudurpaschim Royals set a target of 156 for Biratnagar Kings.
KATHMANDU: Sudurpashchim Royals posted 155/7 in their first innings to set a target of 156 runs for Biratnagar Kings in the Nepal Premier League (NPL) 2025 Qualifier-1 at the Tribhuvan International Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.
Opener Vinod Bhandari led the Royals’ innings with a season’s second fifty, scoring 63 runs off 52 balls, including three fours and two sixes.
Aarif Sheikh added a quick 20 runs off 13 balls towards the end of the innings.
Making his debut, Pakistani opener Mukhtar Ahmed contributed 10 runs, while Sheldon Jackson scored 20 off 11 balls.
Ishan Pandey made 13 before falling to Sam Heazlett. Naren Bhatta took a sensational catch in the field.
Other contributions came from Dipendra Singh Airee 3) and Harmeet Singh (14).
For Biratnagar, Pratish GC and Marchant de Lange picked up two wickets each.
The winner of this match will advance to the final, while the losing team will face the Qualifier-2 against the Eliminator’s winner.
