State Affairs Committee Chair election set for Aug 27

KATHMANDU: The election for the vacant Chairperson position of the House of Representatives’ State Affairs and Good Governance Committee has been scheduled for Wednesday, Aug 27.

According to Rule 176 (1) of the House of Representatives Rules, 2079, the parliamentary secretariat has set the election date.

In a notice issued on Monday, Secretary-General Padma Prasad Pandey stated that the election time has been finalized and all members of parliament have been informed.

The Secretariat emphasized that the preparations are underway to ensure smooth committee functioning despite the vacant President post.
