KATHMANDU: Shram Sanskriti Party lawmaker and General Secretary Aren Rai has strongly questioned the government over a range of unresolved public issues during a session of the House of Representatives.

Speaking in Parliament, MP Rai demanded clarity on topics including monkey population management, issues related to landless and unplanned settlements, and the distribution of compensation or financial support to various groups using public funds.

“When will monkey management be addressed? When will the government ensure proper management so that landless and unplanned settlers feel the presence of a functioning state? When will G.B. Rai be arrested? And are farmers’ problems being solved in practice or only on social media?” he asked.

Rai also raised concerns over the use of public money for compensating victims of cooperatives, arguing that taxpayers’ money should not be used in such cases.

“Should losses from cooperatives, banks, or other businesses be covered by the government? If so, is there a policy that allows the state to pay for such failures using public funds instead of state reserves or alternative mechanisms?” he questioned.
