‘Second Amendment Bill on Political Parties, 2080’ tabled in HoR
Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha submitted the bill in the House of Representatives meeting held on Sunday.
KATHMANDU: The ‘Second Amendment Bill on Political Parties, 2080’ has been submitted to the House of Representatives.
Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha submitted the bill in the House of Representatives meeting held on Sunday.
In addressing the occasion, he clearly stated the necessity to amend the Political Parties Act, 2073, following the ordinance’s revisions to certain provisions and its subsequent repeal, in order to maintain the previous legal framework of the Act, thus making it evident that a proposal has been made to present the amendment bill to the House of Representatives.
Deputy Prime Minister Shrestha stated, “Given the amendments made to certain provisions of the Political Parties Act, 2073 through ordinance, and the subsequent repeal of the said ordinance, it is deemed necessary to amend the Act to maintain the previous legal framework. Therefore, I will be presenting the amendment bill to the esteemed House of Representatives.”
The bill submitted by Deputy Prime Minister Shrestha will be discussed in the House of Representatives.
