Scooter accident in Myagde: 1 dead, 1 injured
Scooter bearing registration number Ga 12 Pa 4769, traveling from Pokhara to Damauli, lost control and overturned on the road at around 8:35 AM.
KATHMANDU: A scooter accident on Prithvi Highway in Myagde Rural Municipality–1, Gunadi, Tanahun resulted in one death and left another seriously injured on Thursday morning.
According to Tharpu Police Post, Tanahun, the scooter bearing registration number Ga 12 Pa 4769, traveling from Pokhara to Damauli, lost control and overturned on the road at around 8:35 AM.
The rider, 27-year-old Puran Rana Magar from Myagde–3 Pasale, sustained serious injuries to his nose, neck, chest, and legs and was rushed to Province Hospital, Damauli for treatment.
The passenger, 27-year-old Sumitra Thapa Magar from Bharatpur Metropolitan City–16, suffered a severe head injury and was pronounced dead by doctors at 8:55 AM.
Police have stated that the exact cause of the accident is under investigation.
