KATHMANDU: The country is expected to witness partly cloudy conditions with chances of rainfall and snowfall in various regions today, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.
During the daytime, generally cloudy weather is likely over the hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as parts of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.
Meanwhile, the Terai areas of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim are expected to remain partly cloudy.
The weather office has forecast a chance of light to moderate rain and snowfall accompanied by thunder and lightning at a few locations in the hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces.
Isolated places in the Terai of Lumbini and parts of Karnali and Sudurpaschim may also experience similar conditions.
Some areas in the Terai belts of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces may experience hot daytime conditions despite the cloud cover.
At night, generally cloudy conditions are expected in the hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.
The Terai and hilly areas of Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces will see partly cloudy skies, while the Terai region of Sudurpaschim is likely to remain mostly clear.
Light rain or snowfall with thunder and lightning is also possible at isolated locations in the Himalayan and hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as in parts of Madhesh and Lumbini provinces.
