Ruling parties agree to pass Federal Budget Bill 2082
The top leaders’ meeting was convened ahead of today’s House of Representatives session, where discussions on the budget took place.
KATHMANDU: In a meeting held today at the Prime Minister’s residence, Baluwatar, the ruling coalition political parties resolved to pass the Federal Budget Bill, 2082, presented by the Nepal government in the federal parliament.
The top leaders’ meeting was convened ahead of today’s House of Representatives session, where discussions on the budget took place.
After Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and relevant ministers responded to the debates and provided clarifications, the ruling parties agreed to instruct their lawmakers to vote in favor of the budget.
Mahanta Thakur, chairman of the Terai Madhesh Loktantrik Party and participant in the ruling alliance meeting, informed that an understanding has been reached between the main parties—the CPN (UML) and Nepali Congress—regarding the proposed “Take and Pay” provision in the budget, paving the way for its approval.
