RSP to elect new leadership tomorrow; e-voting system to be used
KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is set to elect its new leadership on Wednesday, with preparations underway to finalize the election schedule after today’s closed session.
According to Chief Election Commissioner Bhuwan KC, the electoral process will formally begin following the conclusion of the closed-door session today. The closed session will start at 2:00 PM and conclude at 6:45 PM.
The party will use electronic voting devices for the election, while a special arrangement has been made for representatives from abroad who will be able to cast their votes through the party’s official mobile application.
A total of 80 electronic voting devices have been prepared for the election process. Voting will be held to elect one party chairperson and 99 central committee members.
Officials have also confirmed that candidates will not be allowed to act as proposers or supporters for other candidates, ensuring strict electoral neutrality within the nomination process.
