KATHMANDU: The parliamentary party meeting of the main opposition party, CPN-UML, began on Tuesday at the party headquarters in Chyasal, Lalitpur.

The meeting is focused on the party’s future role in Parliament, formulation of an effective strategy, and discussions on recent developments in national politics.

Leaders are also expected to review the latest political situation and strengthen the party’s parliamentary engagement.

Special attention is being given to recent developments involving party Vice-chair Bishnu Paudel, with discussions expected on internal assessment and strategic responses.

Following the parliamentary party meeting, a secretariat meeting has been scheduled for this evening at the Gundu residence in Bhaktapur of party Chair KP Sharma Oli.

The secretariat meeting is expected to take final decisions based on the parliamentary discussions and the current political situation in the country.

The party is also likely to assign a Whip for the House of Representatives during the meeting.
