KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has made the delegate fee for its general convention optional, citing extended stay arrangements for participants.
In the opening session of the closed-door meeting, party President Rabi Lamichhane said the decision was taken after the delegates’ stay period was prolonged.
He acknowledged shortcomings in logistical management and clarified that the previously fixed fee of Rs 5,000 is no longer mandatory.
Lamichhane also instructed organizers to coordinate refunds for those delegates who had already paid the amount but were facing difficulties regarding accommodation and meals.
The convention being held in Chitwan has arranged breakfast, lunch, and evening snacks for delegates, while participants have managed their own accommodation.
