KATHMANDU: The remains of 12 Chinese soldiers killed during the Korean War have been returned to China from South Korea on Wednesday.

A plane carrying the remains departed from Incheon International Airport, along with personal belongings of the fallen soldiers.

The troops were members of the Chinese People’s Volunteers who lost their lives during the war while fighting against U.S.-led forces.

The repatriation reflects ongoing humanitarian efforts to honor and return war casualties decades after the conflict ended.
