KATHMANDU: Real Madrid climbed to the top of La Liga after a dominant 4–1 victory over Real Sociedad.
Returning to the starting lineup for the first time in two months, Trent Alexander-Arnold made an instant impact with a superb cross in the fifth minute, which was clinically finished by Gonzalo Garcia to give Madrid an early lead.

However, Madrid quickly regained control. Just four minutes later, Vinicius Junior was brought down in the box and calmly dispatched the resulting penalty to restore the home side’s advantage.
The pressure continued as Federico Valverde unleashed a powerful strike in the 31st minute to extend the lead to 3–1.
Vinícius completed his brace early in the second half, converting another penalty in the 48th minute to seal a comfortable victory for Los Blancos.
With this win, Real Madrid move two points clear of second-placed Barcelona at the top of the table, strengthening their grip on the La Liga title race.
