Situated at an altitude of about 2,990 meters above sea level, Rara Lake is the largest and deepest lake in Nepal, stretching 5.2 km in length and 2.7 km in width, with a maximum depth of 167 meters and covering an area of roughly 10.8 square kilometers.
Its waters flow into the Mugu Karnali River, creating a vital ecosystem for the surrounding region.

Surrounded by dense forests, rolling hills, and snow-capped Himalayan peaks, the lake’s crystal-clear blue waters create a stunning, ever-changing landscape that enchants every visitor.
