Rabi to visit Delhi with delegation including wife & aides
The delegation is scheduled to return to Nepal on June 3.
KATHMANDU: Rabi Lamichhane, the President of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), is set to embark on a three-day official visit to India beginning June 1, party sources said.
Leading a delegation that includes party Co-General Secretary Bipin Acharya, Foreign Department Chief Deepak Bohara, his wife Nikita Paudel, and private secretary Avinash Acharya, Lamichhane will travel to New Delhi for a series of high-level meetings.
According to the party, the delegation will be formally welcomed at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) headquarters on June 2, where discussions with senior party leadership are scheduled.
The visit also includes planned engagements with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, alongside other Indian ministers.
However, the exact timings of the meetings have not been made public.
This visit is being viewed as one of the notable political-level engagements from Nepal to India following the formation of the new government in Kathmandu.
Previous invitations extended by Indian political leadership have also included visits by former prime ministers of Nepal.
The delegation is scheduled to return to Nepal on June 3.
